Adele Bursts Into Tears On Stage

Last night saw ‘An Audience With Adele’ air on ITV. An extravaganza that saw the likes of Idris Elba, Stormzy and Alan Carr gather to witness Adele perform songs off her new album entitled ‘30’.

As well as the champagne, tears were also flowing during her as a blast from the past resurfaced and reduced the Grammy award-winning singer to tears.

When asked by actress Emma Thompson if she had any major influences growing up the singer quickly responded declaring “Yeah, I had a teacher at Chestnut Grove [Academy] who taught me English. That was Miss McDonald,”. The singer detailed how McDonald wore gold bracelets and how incredibly cool she was. The singer even went on to reveal that she wanted to be just like McDonald.

However, nobody could have predicted what was about to happen.

Suddenly, with glee, Thompson announced that Miss McDonald was present, and this is when she made her way up to the stage to see her former pupil.

In floods of tears, the teacher and pupil reunited with hugs upon hugs and the performance was put on hold as McDonald took centre stage.

McDonald was front and centre and as she stood on the stage next to her former pupil was applauded by a theatre full of A-listers for encouraging a young Adele to fulfil her dreams and installing her with hope.

Hopefully, there are more Miss McDonalds out there inspiring a new generation of children and who knows maybe there are plenty more British Grammy award-winning artists ready to explode.

It was a moment the singer truly seemed to cherish and so did the nation.
