Homecoming: The Live Album is the fifth live album by singer Beyoncé released on April 17 this year, it was recorded at the 2018 Coachella Valley music and arts festival.
This album's release was accompanied by a concert film about the Coachella set that premiered on the streaming service Netflix.
The album showcases Jazz and acoustic renditions of some of the stars most well known songs including some songs from her Destiny's Child days. The live band's take on Beyoncé's classic records is refreshing and the improvisation from the drummer and horn section adds an energy and a sense of emotion that cannot be captured in a studio in the digital music era.

One surprising track on the album is an acapella cover of 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' by Blue Ivy, Beyoncé's 7yr old daughter.
The format of the album is fairly unique the songs a shorter than average and the band blends each and every song together with improvised transitions.
Although there of course are no NEW songs on this album, it is still refreshing and a decent listen.
