'Blueface' stops by the Breakfast Club

Yesterday, California rapper 'Blueface' stopped by the 'Breakfast Club' radio show in New York City to discuss his new found fame, his collaboration with Drake and his unique off beat rapping style that has shot him into the rapping limelight. He is most known for his song "Respect My Crypn" but since his debut has released all his singles through WSHH acquiring millions upon millions of video views and fans worldwide. 'Blueface' informed listeners during this recent interview that his rap career "began by an accident". He explains how he was just with some friends in an LA studio and got in the booth for fun. But he begins to divulge explaining how his song 'Dead Looks' began to circulate around his city of Los Angeles and that he performed his song outside local high schools so inner city kids would know him and remember him. He revealed that slowly but surely he began to build a following through social media and that he had to let go of his dream to play in the NFL and pursue Rap music receiving approximately 10,000 social media followers for each performance he gave.

In regards to his off-beat flow 'Blueface' clarified that he wants to be onbeat but just has too much to say so adds extra words which take his vocals of beat. He also exclusively revealed that his single "Thotiana" is going to be remixed for the second time with YG, French Montana and Cardi B all featuring on the track. He also briefly touched on his collaboration tracks with Drake, Quavo and Ty Dollar $ign among others. He said he wasn't "expecting to go that far and that high" but is grateful.

The interview quickly turned to the torrent of hate the rapper has received since his debut, however, he was quick to dismiss those who have predicted that he will lose all his fame within the next 2 years. A short but sweet interview from 'Blueface' but still very informative
