Idris Elba, Wiley, Stefflon Don and Sean Paul collaborate on new single "Boasty"

As we steadily usher into a new musical year we have yet again been hit by another astonishing collaboration track,  this one titled "Boasty". Stefflon Don and Wiley are both household names in the UK urban music scene having both made their mark in 2018 it is no surprise they have decided to join forces this year. Jamaican dancehall artist Sean Paul, who also happens to feature on this new single is undoubtedly one of the most influential and respected Jamaican music exports and the idea of the three artists on a track together screams one thing and one thing only.....'triple threat'. But this new single "Boasty" from Wiley features a fourth individual. A DJ, rapper, actor fusion act. A name that rings bells in the UK and USA and that is Idris Elba. Yes. Idris Elba!

Idris raps a verse over the culturally impactful, Jamaican reggae style instrumental of "Boasty" and does so flawlessly. So now not only is he a sensational actor but evidently a talented music artist too! Having DJ'd at the Royal Wedding in 2018 and now appearing on this new single, it appears there is no stopping Idris from branching out beyond the boundaries of the acting world. With Stefflon Don having been selected for the XXL freshmen list in 2018 it seems that she too is on a winning streak in her career having collaborated with artists such as French Montana on the song 'Hurtin Me' her name too is ringing bells overseas. And there is no need to explain the Grammy's and countless other achievements of Sean Paul.

Overall this song is a nice way to enter the new year musically. The song is different to what is popular in the Urban music world right now. It is not trap, it is not drill, there are no 808's. Just a bouncy reggae beat that will undoubtedly be a smash with DJ's and party people in the clubs as we start this new year with a "Boasty" bang!
