Matrix & Futurebound Take D'n'B to the Future!!!

Matrix and Futurebound, pillars in the Drum 'n' Bass arena, have taken their future bass production 'Hindsight' and brought it home. A new mix landed in our laps today and it is jam packed with energy, charisma and flair.

The original 'Hindisght' mix was an adequate future bass track with a running male vocal to carry it to the end this M&F 'Hindsight Hybrid Jungle mix' takes things to another stratosphere.

That running male vocal is chopped and screwed every which way, patterned erratically providing listeners with with frequent changes and creating anticipation. The tempo has stepped up too!! But it's the rattling closed hi-hat that persists throughout the new mix that reminds the listener of that speed.

The new mix leads listeners in the chorus with a snares that move from a half note up to a sixteen a.k.a it just gets faster and faster leading listeners into that all important drop.

What makes the drop so spectacular here is the vocal segments that have been processed with a vocoder so they now act like a synth. The pitched vocal samples play an extremely satisfying melody which still sounds natural but still has electronic nuances that give it the D'n'B edge that the verse vocals do not have.

It is definitely a commercial Drum 'n' Bass track, no experimental elements or extreme processing but it screams SUMMER!!! And it is definitely going to be a go-to when the duo begin their 2019 festival circuit.
