New Funky House from Alex Goto

Producer/Dj Alex Goto has released his May single entitled 'Funk' and it is a very complex production.

It is a house compostion has your standard 909, open hi-hat and clap as well as your tech bass. However, during the breaks Goto takes us on a journey

During one of the breaks we go from a bongo, djembe and cowbell Cuban influenced sound to an organ and horn section American old-time funk sound ,reminiscent of James Brown.

We then proceed to a short snare and synth melody that is straight up UK Funky, Funky Dee style. It then returns with that open hi-hat we all know, to that more traditional House sound reintroducing the compressed 909 to reenergize the composition after the musical detour.

It is truly a journey. And an astounding melange of genres. I can truly say I have never heard anything quite like it before. And because it pushes the boundaries so much I can't explain it.
