This Argentine producer/DJ never disappoints with his releases and has once again proved why he is one of the most underrated House producers out there.
In his latest release 'Humman Frecunce' Nico takes listeners back to the old school.
Released on the Club Rayo Diquets Label this new track is truly the definition of minimal.
'Humman Frecunce' has barely any elements making it a very open ambient instrumental. The song is drowning in reverb, but it actually works for the instrumental and provides the listener with avery oneiric, ambient feel.
The main synth is that classic Detroit house chord that we all know. In this track it has a 1/8 echo. Apart from this chord we just have floaty pads and reverb to fill the space. Then, of course, we have the drums.

The 909 kick has barely any compression at all and the closed hi-hats, which create a groove, panned left and right, actually sit in front of the kick. The clap sits even further back in the mix and is barely audible. However, in its own unique way it works for this track which really strips house back to its essence.
Although it's simple and highly stripped back, I feel it is a breath of fresh air in an age where producers often ruin their own tracks by adding too many elements. My only criticism would be there is no distinct open hi-hat which is really vital in any house track.
That aside, this oneiric, ambient track is very pleasing to the ear and its simplicity should be lauded.
