The 2019 BillBoard Awards

The BillBoard Awards this year, as always, was full of surprises and a little bit of controversy on the side.

Drake picked up 12 BillBoard Awards meaning he now holds the record for receiving the most BillBoard awards surpassing Taylor Swift. The awards given to Drake on the night were: Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top BillBoard 200 artist, Top BillBoard 100 artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Album, Top Streaming Song (Video).

Cardi B also Picked up 9 awards, however, her red carpet photo with husband offset seemed to overshadow this.

From the reverse angle photo-shoppers started to troll Cardi B by posting false images that had been edited in the genital area for comic purposes. But leave it to the hip-hop superstar to strip down to her birthday suit and offer her 44 million Instagram followers a lesson on her own anatomy.

However, on a more positive note, Cardi expressed via instagram how grateful she was to her loyal fans for supporting her and leading her to her current superstar status.

Ella Mai also received a number of awards in the R&B category.
