A rundown of all the places you need to be if you are looking for that quality hip-hop night but just can't seem to find the right place!!

As we're working hard all week, whether that's at school, college or uni we all have a certain type of music that tickles our fancy for a stress relieving club night out. If Hip-Hop and Trap music is on your list, then you're reading the right article because we know when and where you need to be to get that crazy night started.
“The main DJ set blew my mind as the night went on.”
Applebum
Applebum is one of the best club nights in the UK if you're looking for that 'Golden Era' Hip-hop. From N.W.A to Tupac. From Big Pun to Biggie Smalls, Applebum serves you up with those classics that never die. This Hip-Hop blowout travels around the country, hitting all the major cities on its way and always putting on a show when it comes to Halloween, Christmas and Summer. I had my first Applebum experience in Newcastle-upon-Tyne when DJ Cee performed a set at World Headquarters' club and it's fair to say I have been a fan ever since. In London Applebum regularly holds events at their favorite East London club 'The Book Club'. However they often switch up venues. Other venues they frequent include the 'Prince of Wales' in Brixton and 'The Beatbox' in Wembley box park. There are upcoming Applebum events in Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Southampton and London. They also hold events in Newcastle, Edinburgh and Sheffield so check out when they are next near you because as far as old skool 90's hip-hop goes, you will not find any other club night like it.

Your Mum's House
Your Mum's House is a weekly club night at the renowned London club XOYO. Held every Thursday this club night draws every type of person from everywhere and the queues for a Thursday are astonishing. Your Mum's House is different to Applebum in that it doesn't travel around the UK and is a residency night. It also differs in the sense that it does not focus on a specific era of Hip-Hop, rather, plays the most renowned songs from every era. Right from Hip-Hop's inception to now. Expect to hear a lot of Trap as well as some classic break-beat Hip-Hop as the DJ's take you through the timeline of Hip-Hop. Early Bird Tickets cost £5, tickets bought that week will cost £9. The Nearest London Underground station is Old street and you will want to exit via exit 3.

Choke
Established in 2009 and a decade on 'Choke' is still growing strong. A weekly club-night at 'The Roxy' in Central London. Choke is perfect for those who want some low-key mid week fun to clear the blues away. 'Choke' is popular among those who like a bit of space in the club and those who don't want to get caught up in the crazy, drunken crowds of big clubs such as EGG LDN and Fabric. 'Choke' is a must-go Hip-Hop club night because 'The Roxy' is an extremely student friendly club. Drinks are priced very reasonably and with deals always on the go you can buy a quick one without emptying out your bank account. It is also very central, situated just off Oxford street. This means getting home shouldn't be too difficult after an nice evening. 'Choke' plays mostly contemporary Hip-Hop. Expect to feel lot of 808's and also hear some commercial Hip-Hop with the likes of French Montana and Nicki Minaj featuring with their Hip-Pop fusions. Standard entry is £5 and £4 if you have a flyer.
Milkshake
Milkshake is quickly becoming one of the most lively Hip-Hop nights in London. Another weekly club night, but this time we're heading to the 'Ministry of Sound' in Elephant & Castle, for a Tuesday student zoo! This club night is just about level pegging with Your Mum's House. 'Milkshake', however, delivers a lot of special PA's on a weekly basis which is something that does not happen at 'Your Mum's House' or 'Choke'. 'Milkshake' also seems to offer a lot more UK hip-hop and Grime with BBK's DJ Maximum often spinning the best of what the UK urban music scene has to offer there. Standard entry is £6 with a queue jumper ticket costing £11.25
